This recipe collection began as a way to back up my mother's recipe collection that she has collected in a black binder since the 1950's. Maggie and I are also adding recipes that we want to keep track of, so this will become our family go to location for storing and finding our recipes

Cheesy Green Bean Casserole (2)

Ingredients

  • 1 Can Cream of Mushroom Soup
  • 3/4 Cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese
  • 1/2 Bottle Hormel Real Bacon Bits (red Label)
  • 3 Cans canned green beans, drained
  • 1 Can French Fried Onions

Directions

  1. In small sauce pan heat soup, cheese and bacon pieces on medium/low heat. Stir until cheese is melted.
  2. Drain the juice from green beans, and put them in an oven safe dish.
  3. Pour soup mixture on top of green beans, and stir until evenly coated.
  4. Top with cheddar, French fried onions, and bake at 300 degrees until onions are slightly browned.
